Ex-collection unknown collector, violet ink stamp with the initials EF verso (not in Lugt). A superb, richly-inked impression, extremely scarce in this issue.
We have not found another impression of the second state, initialed by Manet, at auction in the past 20 years. Guérin 62; Harris 39.
