According to Woll, this portrait was drawn by Munch on the same lithographic stone next to his portrait of the Norwegian businessman and cinema director Halfdan Nobel Roede (Woll 635) and likely represents one of his daughters.
We have not found another impression at auction in the past 30 years.
Woll cites 9 impressions in the collection of the Munch-museet, Oslo, and another impression in the City of Oslo Art Collection, bequethed from the Rolf E. Stenersen collection. Schiefler 411; Woll 636.
