A multi-faceted artist, Bawden was a painter, printmaker and an illustrator as well as a poster designer. He also designed tiles for the London Underground. His style was quite unique and has been referred to as "English eccentric." The image was used with different text to promote travel both to Kew Gardens and St. James's Park.
