EDWARD BRENER (DATES UNKNOWN) YELLOWSTONE PARK / NORTHERN PACIFIC. Circa 1930. 39 3/4x29 1/2 inches, 107x75 cm. Condition B+: recreated losses, repaired tears, restoration and overpainting in margins, some slightly affecting image. "An impressionistic, spectral view of the Old Faithful Geyser" (Zega p. 83) created in the same soft, watercolor style of this artist's only other known poster, also for the Northern Pacific, promoting a Rodeo Parade in the Montana-Wyoming Dude Ranch country. So little is known of this artist that there is confusion as to his exact name. He is known as Edward P. Bremer (see Zega p. 83), Edward P. Brewer (Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Cody, Wyoming) and Edward Vincent Brener.
