Disembarking from a train, this stylish woman in a blue suit and pink shirt, can't help but look up and smile at America's Capital all around her. A "City Beautiful" indeed, especially when pictured in a montage of images that places the White House, the Supreme Court and the Capitol in the same view, nestled among green trees beneath a clear blue sky. Eggleston was a commercial artist and illustrator who studied under Harvey Dunn (a student of Howard Pyle's), he is primarily remembered for his pin-up-style calendar backs. Eggleston p. 24.
