Condition B+ / B: restored loss in bottom right corner and right edge, slightly affecting image; repaired tears and creases in margins and image; restoration along sharp vertical and horizontal folds. One in a series of three posters Kauffer created for London Transport, the others are The Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. "Kauffer has won for himself a leading position among poster designers by his strongly contemporary style. His posters are made up of familiar elements . . . heightened in effect to make them strange and attractive" (Purvis p. 20).
