first edition, giving the Middle English original text and a modern English version in parallel columns; number 68 of 600 numbered copies. The early 15th-century work by the Duke of York was largely translated from the late 14th-century Livre de Chasse by Gaston III, Count of Foix. The plates in this edition reproduce miniatures from an early manuscript of the latter work in the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris.
