Silver print, the image measuring 7 1/2x9 1/2 inches (19x24.1 cm.), the mount 13 7/8x15 1/2 inches (35.3x39.4 cm.), with Weston's signature and date, in pencil, on mount recto, and his title "Salt Beds, Floor of Death Valley (from an elevation of 6000 feet)," inscription "Much love dear Lydia, Edward 1944," and notations DV-DV-11G, in pencil, on mount verso. 1938
