Cabbage Leaf, from Edward Weston: Fiftieth Anniversary Portfolio, 1902-1950. Silver print, the image measuring 7½x9½ inches (19.1x24.1 cm.), the mount 13¾x16 inches (34x40.6 cm.), with Weston's initials and negative date in pencil on mount recto, and the Portfolio Print stamp with the print number in pencil on mount verso; with a Dody Weston Thompson Collection of Edward Weston Photographs label with her signature in ink on mat verso. 1931; printed circa 1951

Amy Conger notes, "Weston began making arrangements with cabbage in the summer of 1927, and for all practical purposes, he finished working with them in 1936, entering two in his log that year. No other vegetable or objects seemed to have such fascination and lasting power for him."
