Additional Details

Five of the forty-three illustrations created for this odd, engaging adventure story of a young boy and an anthropomorphic wildcat among an Indian tribe. The illustrations include the frontispiece ("`Outside of What?' Said the Drifting Goose); page 45 ("The Wild-Cat Rose...and, in the Saddest Manner in the World, Spoke"; also used, but modified, for the cover image); page 67 ("Meda's School"); page 107 ("The Wild-Cat Demands an Explanation."); and page 171 ("Edgar and the Medicine-Man Sat on the Ground.").
