Arthur Roessler (1877-1955) was an influential art critic and author, as well as a close friend of Schiele (1890-1918), whom Roessler encouraged from an early point and helped build his artistic career. Schiele's oil portrait of Roessler, from 1910, is now in the Leopold Museum, Vienna. Kallir 8.
