Second edition of the plate volumes from the monumental study of ancient and modern Egypt, the foundation of modern Egyptology, undertaken by the Commission des Sciences et Arts d'Égypte following Napoléon's conquest of the country in 1798. Brunet II, 616-17. In his collation of the 1809-28 first edition Brunet calls for a d'Anville map in the first volume of Antiquités and plates e and f in the fourth volume; these are not present here.
