Empress of Britain memorabilia including a sheet Signed by both. The signed sheet, "Elizabeth R" and "Philip," at center of page that is blank except for heading, "Launch of S.S. 'Empress of Britain.' / Wednesday, 22nd June 1955," written in unknown hand. 12 1/2x10 1/2 inches; mounted at corners to album page, faint scattered soiling. The scrapbook, including printed invitation to attend the launching ceremony on June 22, 1955 in Glasgow, Scotland; over 25 original photographs showing the Queen and the shipyard before, during, and after launching ceremony; printed luncheon menu and guestlist; unused RSVP forms; and admission tickets. A few scrapbook pages decorated with small paintings by collector showing the shipyard or flags or decorative elements. Each photograph alone on a page, most other pages contain 2-5 items mounted on recto and verso.
