In addition to being an illustrator, Norwegian-born Biorn was also a conductor, sculptor and painter. He worked in Chicago around the turn-of-the-century and studied at the Art Institute. In 1929, he designed a poster for Chicago's South Shore Line Railway. One of Chicago's many printing houses in the last decade of the 19th Century, the Chicago Photo Engraving Company printed posters, calenders and more.
