In his simple, bold style Cardinaux presents people sitting by an ice rink. One of two posters he designed for the famous resort hotel; the other, a summer scene, depicts golfers. In both, employing casual grace and compelling composition, Cardinaux depicts tableaux, which while not directly promoting the hotel being advertised, nevertheless create a mood, a style, a fashion statement which clearly reflects on the manner of people who stay in such an establishment.
