Orlik (1870-1932) was a Czech artist whose extensive travels informed his artistic styles throughout his career. Known primarily as a printmaker, Orlik visited Japan in 1900 and stayed for a year before travelling to China and North Africa. His travels in Asia significantly influenced his mature artistic style.
