Condition B+: restored losses and repaired tears in margins and along vertical and horizontal folds. In 1893, Geneva was chosen as the location for the National Swiss Exhibition to take place three years later. The organizers launched a poster competition in 1895, and 55 entries were received. Pinchart, a French painter who had settled in Geneva was an easy winner. The image is executed in a rather academic style, presented in a fairly realistic manner and filled with details, but the printing is a lithographic marvel, composed of sixteen colors!
