ERNST LUDWIG FRANKE (1886-1948) LATTERMANN. Circa 1930. 48 7/8x72 3/4 inches. Waldeim-Eberle, Wien. Condition B+: repaired tears in margins and image; vertical and horizontal folds. Two sheets. Among the few posters designed by Franke, two were for this driving school in Vienna, opened up by Mr. Latterman. This dynamic image, with a car speeding through a traffic sign, encourages those who don't know how to drive to visit the school. Both the drawing and the typography are of the highest Art Deco style.
