EUGENE GRASSETGRAFTON GALLERY. 1893.
30 1/4x22 inches. Verdoux, Ducourtioux & Hullard.
Condition A-: horizontal fold.
An orange-haired woman in a white dress with a blue sash is holding a basket of pink flowers and looking at a bed of purple irises. Yellow green and pink trees are under a purple sky in the background with a purple ink "Affiches Illustres Sagot" stamp in bottom margin. "Made for a London firm, the work is surprisingly English in feeling, and is inspired by William Morris, and the legend of Camelot" (Abdy p. 116). A black and white version also exists with text announcing an "Exposition d'Art Decoratif / Gallerie Georges Petit". According to Abdy this image was actually turned into a stained glass window. Berthon & Grasset p. 31, DFP-II 406, Abdy p. 117.
