3) Lopez de Ubeda's Vita della Picara Giustina Diez, Venice: Barezzo Batezzi, 1628, octavo, two parts in one volume, woodcut devices to title page; bound in full contemporary parchment; 6 1/4 x 4 in.

4) Mateo Aleman's Le Gueux ou La Vie de Guzman d'Alfarache, Paris: Denys Houssaye, 1638-1639, octavo, two parts bound as one, translation to French by Jean Chapelain (1595-1674), woodcut device to title pages; bound in full contemporary limp parchment; 6 3/4 x 4 1/8 in.

5) Cervantes's The History and Adventures of the Renowned Don Quixote, London: F.C. & J. Rivington et alia, 1818; two 12mo volumes, translated to English by Tobias Smollett; two steel engraved frontispiece illustrations in each volume; bound in uniform publisher's printed paper boards, edges untrimmed throughout, the set a bit bumped and rubbed but rare in this state.
