Octavo format manuscript written on wove paper in black and red ink, with a large decorated headline on first leaf and large decorated initials; consisting of approximately 40 leaves of text written in a neat professional hand, followed by approximately 20 blank leaves; bound in full contemporary black morocco over wooden boards, tooled in blind and a gilt alloy, all edges gilt, front board detached, binding rubbed, lacking one clasp, later marbled endleaves, a good candidate for restoration; 7 x 4 1/4 in.
