This first edition of Eustachi's commentary on Erotianus's (c. 50-70 CE) Vocum, an ancient collection of words found in Hippocrates. A contemporary of Andreas Vesalius (1514-1564), Thomas describes Eustachi as 'perhaps the greatest anatomist of his time, and probably no other anatomist, ancient or modern, has made so many discoveries' (Thomas, p. 877)
