first edition of the speech by Faulkner at the graduation exercises of his daughter Jill's class. Includes a Typed Letter Signed by the Director of Alumnae Relations on Pine Manor Junior College letterhead gifting the present copy to William Boozer, editor of the Faulkner Newsletter, and author of William Faulkner's First Book: The Marble Faun Fifty Years Later (Memphis, 1975). According to ABPC and Rare Book Hub, only the second example to appear at auction and the first in over three decades (Christie's New York, Feb 7, 1986, lot 42). Not in Petersen.
