Sylt, the largest German island in the North Sea, has been a popular summer resort since the 19th century. This poster, printed by the Sylt Steamship Company, shows the summer transportation schedule by train and boat from Berlin to Westerland. Schwormstädt's detailed lithography beautifully renders elegant families enjoying their time on the beach, as well as the paddle steamer Westerland.
