FERDINAND LOUIS GOTTLOB (1873-1935) 2E EXPOSITION DES PEINTRES LITHOGRAPHES. 1898.
47x31 1/4 inches, 119 1/2x79 1/2 cm. Lemercier, Paris.
Condition A: soft creases and minor discoloration in image.
Gottlob was both a painter and an illustrator, which was common for many young artists of the period as, for a while, the distinction between the fine arts and applied arts virtually disappeared. The blurring of this distinction led to exhibitions like Les Peintres Lithographes, for which Gottlob (who was not a prolific poster artist) designed their second exhibition poster. DFP-II 392, Maitres 219, Wine Spectator 108, Gold 183.
