Futurism and Fascism were always linked - an association that grew closer as the 20th century progressed, perhaps reaching its peak in 1932, when Marinetti helped promote the Exhibition of the Fascist Revolution. Here, in the national red, white and green of the Italian flag, Leandri (overseen by Marinetti), extols the wonders of the exhibition and the "bold, futurist soul" of Mussolini. This poster appeared as a folded insert in issue 29 of Futurismo, a short-lived newspaper printed from 1932-33. This rare document is one of the only "free word" typographic posters from the Futurist era. This is the second copy we've found at auction. Manifesti Italiani p. 112, Futuriste 142.
