first edition, first issue dust jacket, apparently later (second or third) printing. With "and" on page 232, line 6, and no type batter throughout. "Bruccoli notes that the publisher's records shows three printings of this work in 1922. These were not identified by the publisher and have not been differentiated by bibliographic tests. One textual revision has been discovered by machine collation: page 232, line 6 [see above] ... but it has not been determined whether the plate change occured between the first and second printings or between the second and third printings" (Harmon, p. 8).
