One image with contemporary manuscript label on rear indicating that they were exhibited in the Royal Academy in 1859, Catalogue No. 980 and "On the frame of this picture was Christie's work as follows: 173AX." The images are titled "Early Struggles," "Patrons," "My first Madonna," "My second Madonna," "[?] and the line," and "A bit of true Nature."
