Additional Details

Photograph inscribed by Conrad with: "Man, that may have been a small one for Neil but that's a long one for me! Charles Conrad, CDR. Apollo XII." These were Conrad's first words as he descended from the last rung of the LM ladder to the surface. That last rung was 3 feet above the lunar surface and Conrad was only 5 feet 6 inches. He made a bet with a co-worker that he would say these words to the live world-wide television audience. Pete Conrad won the bet!
