PROPERTY OF GORDON COOPER FLOWN Apollo XIII Robbins Sterling Silver Medallion. Approximately 1.25 inches in diameter, circular, featuring the Apollo 13 crew mission emblem and the astronaut names on the reverse side. The launch and return flight dates are also engraved on the reverse. The medallion is one of the Robbins series made for the Apollo astronauts. In the original 342 plastic presentation box. Serial number 342

After Cooper's back-up role on Apollo 10, he would have rotated into the prime crew command position for Apollo 13. This all changed after Alan Shepard returned to active flight crew status. With a Typed Letter Signed from Cooper stating that this medallion was given to him from Apollo 13 commander James Lovell.
