Additional Details

As a return "gotcha" to the "Beep Beep" patches, Edgar Mitchell and Stuart Roosa from Apollo 14 orchestrated the placement of this centerfold into the flight plan of Apollo 17. Mitchell and Roosa served as the back-up crew for Apollo 17, just as Cernan and Evans did on Apollo 14.
The center-fold was "censored" by the back-up crew in the appropriate places with taped down pictures illustrating Wile E. Coyote finally wringing the neck of the Road Runner. These illustrations had the logo of "BEEP BEEP YURAS!" which was Alan Shepard's response when he saw the Apollo 14 back-up patch while on the ground and during his flight.
The phrase "YURAS" was a censored spelling by the back-up crew. Curious members of the Apollo 17 crew, however, trimmed off the censored sections for a full view of Miss May, Deanna Baker. The 3 'beep beep' logos on the reverse side as well as the center-fold have been inscribed and signed by Cernan with: "Flown to the Moon on Apollo XVII, Eugene Cernan". With an interesting Typed Letter Signed by Cernan explaining this history.
