CARRIED ON THE FIRST MANNED RENDEZVOUS MISSION FLOWN Gemini 6 Cloth Emblem. A 4-inch hexagonal shaped cloth crew emblem carried by Wally Schirra on the first rendezvous mission, Gemini 6. The emblem illustrates two Gemini spacecraft in a rendezvous sequence shaped like the number "6" with background stars used for celestial navigation. With a Typed Letter Signed by Schirra that allows the emblem to be displayed with the letter. NASA/MSC, 1965

The letter by Schirra reads in part: "The Gemini crew emblem displayed below was carried in space on the Gemini 6 flight launched on December 15, 1965. We made history's first space flight rendezvous on that same day with Gemini 7 already in orbit."
