FLOWN LM Equipment Netting with Lunar Dust. An approximately one-inch section of equipment pouch netting used to secure flight items in the Lunar Module "Orion." Over the course of three EVAs, equipment brought in from the lunar surface for temporary storage and even from the astronauts' space suits "contaminated" the netting pouch with lunar dust. Prior to casting-off the ascent stage while in lunar orbit, the crew removed a section this LM netting. This particular segment has a metal button snap. NASA/MSC, 1972
