FLOWN Lunar Module Strap with Lunar Dust. A metal spring retaining strap with dual metal snaps at each end. This strap was used to secure various flight equipment inside Lunar Module "Orion" during the LM's stay on the Moon. At one end a stamped part number reads: "V36-601170-31" and serial number "06362AAJ2243." Approximately 10 inches in length, expandable to over 18 inches. NASA/MSC, 1972

Dust clinging to the crew's hands would embed itself into the strap's fabric end when touched. After 3 days on the Moon and repeated use, this strap shows several gray lunar dust areas. With Typed Letter Signed by Duke providing additional details.
