An excellent, mid-19th century view of Cincinnati from Newport, Kentucky on the south side of the Ohio River, based upon a drawing by Adolphus Forbriger, an American artist and Cincinnati native. Forbriger founded in 1856 Ehrgott & Forbriger, a Cincinnati lithography firm, that was the leading lithograph producer in the mid-West prior to and during the Civil War.
