A volume of 37 photographs of the architecture at Cairo, the Great Pyramids of Giza, and the ruined and partly-excavated temples of Thebes and Karnac. Albumen prints, the images measuring approximately 6 1/4x8 to 6 1/4x9 inches (15.9x20.3 to 15.9x22.9 cm.), and the reverse, all but 2 with Frith's signature in the negative and about half with his plate number in the negative, and with his letterpress credit, caption, and date, on mount recto. Folio, gilt-lettered green leather, slight edgewear; scattered foxing; all edges gilt.
