A politically and culturally active artist, Dosamantes is known for his educational illustrations protesting fascism, later becoming a founding member of the Taller de Gráfica Popular and the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana. On his cultural missions he would take a hiatus to illustrate the Mexican landscape around him, as seen in this lt.
