Set of 18 aquatints with etching printed in dark brownish black to black on cream laid paper, circa 1824. Each approximately 255x355 mm; 10x14 inches, wide (full ?) margins. The second edition, with plate numbers and with the title page reading Academia de Nobles Artes and dated 1864.

Superb, richly-inked, early impressions; with the burnishing on the horizon and on the horizontal scratch through the phanton figure clearly visible on plate 2; with the small patch of aquatint printing lightly on plate 6 as in the first edition; with highlights on the seated fat woman in the center and no sign of wear to the aquatint along the right edge of plate 7; with the pale aquatint on the woman and the darker tones showing on plate 10; with the light aquatint in the sky upper left, as in the first edition, still showing on plate 11; with the scratches still showing and little to no wear in the dark tone on plate 13; before the signs of extensive false-biting on plate 15; with no traces of oxidation on plate 17; and with generally little to no deterioration in the the lightest to darkest aquatint tones and with the etched lines showing no sign of wear consistent with the first and second editions.
