FRANCISCO TAMAGNO COEUR D' HEROINE. Circa 1919.
451/2x301/4 inches. G. Delattre, Paris.
Condition A; light vertical and horizontal folds.
An American soldier is standing in a car and waving the stars and stripes to an assembled crowd of French soldiers dressed in khaki. Tamagno, mostly known for his Belle Epoque posters advertising bicycles and liqueurs, here turns his talents to advertising the eighth episode of a movie about World War I. This is one of the latest posters known to have been designed by the artist.
