FRANK NEWBOULD (1887-1950) PRAGUE / CENTRAL EUROPE VIA HARWICH. Circa 1925. 40x49 1/2 inches, 101 1/2x126 1/2 cm. Dangerfield Printing Co., London. Condition B+: restoration and minor restored losses along vertical and horizontal folds; repaired tears in margins and image. Frank Newbould did extensive work for the London & North Eastern Railway, but he also worked for the Great Western Railway, The Orient Line and the Belgian Railway. In 1926, he was one of five artists contracted to work exclusively for the LNER, the others were Tom Purvis, Austin Cooper, Frank Mason and Fred Taylor. The contract lasted for three years.
