FRANK SOLTESZ (1912-1986) FLY TWA JETSTREAM / SIESTA SLEEPER. Circa 1957. 40x25 inches, 101x63 1/2 cm. Condition A-: minor creases in margins and image. Paper. Soltesz was an art director and illustrator. During World War II much of his work focused on the airplane industry. Advertisements he designed for various companies appeared in all of the great American magazines of the mid-20th century. He also illustrated a number of map covers for Esso. He began to design magazine ads for TWA as early as the 1940s, and is known to have designed several posters for the airline.
