'This edition was begun in 1808, but owing to the delay of Temple Franklin in printing his edition (with whom Duane had agreed to an exchange of material), it was not completed until 1818'--Ford 568. Volume I, the Memoirs, was printed in 1818, while the Works fill volumes II through VI and were published from 1808 through 1817. Volume III contains Franklin's scientific writings.
