The hustle and bustle of daily life at one of the holiest cremation grounds along the Ganges River, the Manikarnika Ghat. Situated in Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh these steps leading down to the waterfront are surrounded by the Baba Mashan Nath, Tripur Sundari and Ratneshwar Mahadev Mandir temples. The historical architectural marvels and throngs of people are depicted in a cut-out style. Much like the work of Tom Purvis, who also designed posters for travel to India, Taylor here employs expanses of color to delineate details.
