A serene, colorful view of the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) in Amritsar. The temple acquired its current look after reconstruction in 1764, and the upper floors were covered with gold (which lends the building its nickname) in the early 19th century. It is one of the holiest sites in the Sikh religion. Much like the work of Tom Purvis, who also designed posters for travel to India, Taylor here employs expanses of color to delineate details.
