In another historical recreation, Taylor depicts the explorer Captain Cook embarking on his third voyage around the world, with his ships (that were built in Whitby) the Resolution and the Discovery. Considered one of the world's greatest explorers, Cook sailed to the far reaches of the world in the 18th century, reaching all seven continents during his lifetime. His third voyage was his last as he was killed while in the Sandwhich Islands. Whitby, where Cook got his start working as a ship builder's apprentice, has been a port for more than a thousand years and is still a seafarer's town.
