Condition B+: repaired tears, creases and restoration in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal folds; staining and slight rippling in margins. Mounted on Japan.
Marston, an accomplished landscape painter, studied in both Britain and Italy. Her work was exhibited at the Royal Academy and other prominent British arts societies and galleries. Marston was one of the few female artists commissioned by the British railway companies to design posters. Prints of her smaller, elongated landscapes were also used to decorate the interiors of some railway carriages.
