Freddie Styles has been an influential artistic figure in Atlanta for decades. A graduate of Morris Brown College, Styles has produced an extensive body of work in abstraction in both painting and collage over his career. He was an artist-in-residence at Clark Atlanta University, Clayton State University and Spelman College and has been the recipient of numerous purchase awards from the Atlanta Life Insurance Company. He has had numerous solo exhibitions, including at Clark Atlanta University, Hammonds House, Atlanta, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and the Tubman Museum, Macon, GA. His paintings can be found in the collections of the High Museum, Spelman College Museum of Art, Clark Atlanta University and the Paul R. Jones Collection, University of Delaware.
