Additional Details

Blanton (1882-1966) was an intimate friend of Freud, having undergone analysis from the master. He was the author of the best-selling Love or Perish, 1956, a psychoanalyst in New York for many years, and co-founder with Norman Vincent Peale of the American Foundation of Religion and Psychiatry (today known as the Blanton-Peale Institute and Counseling Center).
