A speeding locomotive is depicted from a dramatic perspective that would become immortalized the following year by A. M. Cassandre's Nord Express. The palpable sense of speed and Berlin's impressive skyline in the distance create the visual manifestation of the poster's title "To Berlin!" Although this may be his only poster, Rosen was no stranger to the world of graphic design as for many years he was the head of Lucian Bernhard's Atelier in Berlin. This poster won a design competition sponsored by the Berlin Department of Transportation. It also exists in several other variations.
