Second edition, quarto, preceded by an unauthorized 1639 edition under the title The Bloody Brother, based on a different manuscript, a clean copy, unwashed, with original margins, old speckled calf boards, rebacked, corners mended; a small instance of worming near the catchwords most notable in signatures F through I, occasionally affecting a letter; headlines and catchwords intact; ex libris Grace Jefferson, with ownership inscription to title dated 1696; also signed by Thomas Pennington in 1710; bookplate of Norbury Booths Hall, 1826; purchased at Deighton, Bell & Co., Cambridge, England in 1971; 7 1/4 x 5 1/4 in.

The attribution to Fletcher is uncertain, Rollo may be the result of a collaboration between Fletcher and Ben Jonson, as revised by Philip Massinger. Two songs from Shakespeare's Measure for Measure are also included in Rollo: "Drink today and drowne all sorrow," (page 19) and "Take o take those lipps away," (page 65).
